The purpose of the Foundation for the Study of Highly Sensitive Persons is twofold:
- To educate the public about the trait
- To fund new research on it
At the moment, efforts to educate the public will be the making and distributing more films and videos suitable for broad distribution on the internet and popular streaming platforms. The research side will advance an already well-established body of research. Donations might be used, for example, to fund new studies or the analysis of existing data sets (these include laboratory behavioral studies and genetic and neuroimaging data).

Those living in the U.S. will receive a letter for tax purposes verifying this is a contribution to a non-profit organization. Unless we are instructed otherwise, in the case of PayPal contributions, it will be sent to the billing address.
