Dear Highly Sensitive Friends, Here's your summer reading, the 30th emailed Comfort Zone (not to mention the paper ones). It's been an exciting three months since the last issue, and I fear the length of these articles reflect my excited state spreading to all of my writing. So I will keep at least this letter brief. Here's what you have here:
Very Important: If you can get to Santa Barbara for Labor Day weekend, September 1 through 5, come for a wonderful, memorable HSP Gathering. There will be people from all over the U.S. as well as Australia and Canada. Some presentation topics: Facts, Myths & Mysteries of the HSP Trait; Thriving not just Surviving as an HSP; and myself talking about Complexes and HSPs, plus answering all your questions. You can still pay the reduced early registration fee until August 19 (changed from August 1). Air fares and L.A. traffic may seem daunting, but you don't have to fly or drive. There are all kinds of ways to get there: Buses and trains to Santa Barbara, and shuttles, rental cars, and rides to share from three airports (LAX and Burbank are much cheaper than flying to Santa Barbara and not that far). We will hook you up. Every HSP needs at least one experience of being in an HSP-only group. Especially if you live in Southern California, this may be the only time a gathering is so near to you. I hope you are enjoying the best part of summer--maybe being near the water, eating outdoors, enjoying the summer fruits and veggies, and getting away from it all for a while. Elaine
